Something big is coming to theaters in 2016. Captain America: Civil War has released its teaser trailer and it looks like bad blood is brewing among the Marvel superheroes.
Chris Evans a.k.a Captain America and Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday and teased fans with the premiere of the Captain America: Civil War trailer and a movie poster in which the two superheroes looked like ready to fight each other.
“It looks like you two are very intensely in love there,” Kimmel joked as he stared at the poster.
In the trailer, the superheroes are now divided into two factions – one led by Captain America (Steve Rogers) whose mission it is to fight injustice without interference from the government. The other group is led by Iron Man (Tony Stark), who chose to side with the government’s new system of accountability.
With the disaster they faced in the Age of Ultron, it is only reasonable that Stark would want to let the government get involved in their operations. Rogers feels differently and is soon branded a rogue and vigilante.
What made the two opposing teams of Avengers totally drift apart is Rogers’ pal Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) also known as Winter Soldier. Much of their conflict stems from the fact that Captain America chooses to protect Bucky from the authorities. Bucky, who was a villain in the previous Captain America movie, is now being tracked down by the government to pay for his crimes. However, he is able to convince Rogers that he is a changed man.
